Intel will work with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to provide life coaching, planning guidance, skill learning, and career development services for more than 50,000 athletes participating in the Olympic Games, which will continue to be postponed to the Tokyo Olympics to be held next year. These services provided by Intel are an important part of Athlete365, the official athlete support program of the International Olympic Committee. This new plan is a direct result of Intel’s commitment to supporting Olympic athletes and the Olympic Star of Hope, and will help athletes work hard to overcome the impact of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic.
Intel provides these services to athletes by referring to the existing benefits provided to its employees. Athletes can get tools to help them cope with the challenges posed by the global outbreak. These tools and services include Headspace and EXOS, as well as other learning and career development services provided by Intel and LinkedIn. In addition, Intel will provide guidance and online services designed specifically to meet the needs of elite athletes in the Olympic community.

Significance: Intel and the International Olympic Committee are committed to supporting the Olympic ecosystem, athletes and partners during the global outbreak. The benefits available to more than 100,000 Intel employees will now benefit 50,000 athletes from 200 countries. In addition, Intel has donated products that use Intel technology to various sports committees, including VR helmets, to help athletes continue and strengthen training while maintaining contact with coaches and teammates. Intel employee guidance services: Intel provides exclusive coaching services from experienced Intel employees who have a wealth of technical and non-technical backgrounds to help athletes transition smoothly to the next stage of life after retiring to seize important growth opportunities. Intel is working with the International Olympic Committee to expand the scope of mentors, including the staff of the International Olympic Committee and experienced Olympic athletes. Athletes, including members of the Intel team, will be able to work with their mentors to develop life plans after retirement and learn useful personal and professional skills.
Athlete Webinar Series: Today, Olympic champion, Intel employee Ashton Eaton, and Rick Echevarria, vice president of Intel’s marketing group and general manager of the Global Olympic Program Office, will also participate in the IOC’s athlete webinar series. Eaton will explain how he transitioned from an Olympic athlete to an Intel employee’s identity and how the Olympic athlete’s identity helped him pursue a technical career.
Knowledge development: Intel promotes its employee courses to the Olympic community and is taught by experienced Intel employees. These courses are carefully designed and content-oriented for the audience of athletes, so as to train athletes some of the most necessary and basic skills in the future development of all walks of life. In addition, by accessing related content on business, technology, public speaking, and branding courses on LinkedIn, athletes can hone key skills that are vital now and in the future.
Athletic performance mentality: Athletes will be able to use Headspace Plus for 6 months, and can use hundreds of resources to help focus, sleep, exercise, etc. Headspace also covers content designed for recovery, competition, training and motivation. In addition, athletes can access content about mentality and recovery developed by EXOS.
